Knowle Community Page

A community page for the Knowle area of Bristol. Things of local interest and services for the community, in no particular order. We will also be adding photographs of the Knowle, Knowle West and Knowle Park area.

The Park, Local Opportunity Centre - The Park is a Local Opportunity Centre. Its first responsibility is to the community of Knowle West, helping to strengthen the regeneration process in the area.

Hengrove Play Park - The first no smoking park in the country. Great for kids.

Broadwalk Shopping Centre - Rediscovering itself as a local shopping centre.

Knowle West Health Park - Great walk-in centre. On the old Merrywood Boys School site.

Knowle Library - Great childrens section.

Totterdown Baptist Church - Very friendly church on the Wells Road.

Knowle Cricket Club - Local cricket and good club house. Relaxing Saturday.

Knowle Beat - Avon and Somerset Police - what great work they do, despite our complaints!

Knowle Angling Association - Brown and Rainbow trout fishing on both stillwater and rivers. Two lakes and a reservoir fly only. Five miles of river fishing on the river Yeo and river Chew.

Knowle Golf Club - Knowle is a mature parkland course with two contrasting halves and the benefit of two starting points.

Jubilee Swimming Pool - Soon to be closed to make way for a Health Centre in Hengrove, just down the road.

Disabled Christian Fellowship - Providing rewarding workshops for disabled people in Knowle.

Bristolian Dictionary - No where else speaks kerek Bristle like what we doos in Nawl.
